Valves are one of the basic instruments of safety. Valve is a device used to regulate, control or direct the flow of gas, liquids, pressure and heat in wide range of systems and machines. Although valves are always a part of fittings but still are graded as separate category. There are different types of valves, designed and manufactured as per their requirement. Check valve allow the fluid (gas or liquid) to flow in one direction only and prevent the backward flow. They are widely used in plumbing, piping, industrial and many other systems applications. They are of different verities, sizes and qualities for commercial and domestic use. Chock valve also controls flow and pressure of fluids or gases especially in oil and gas production. Chock valves play a key role in well head equipment. Sometimes the flow or pressure increases to high so it is difficult to control or maintain the pressure. The risk of erosion of chock valve is always present due to which the life of these valves is short. There are two main types of chock valve, fixed and adjustable. Fixed chock valve has a fixed hole for flow and adjustable chock valve has adjustable hole to maintain flow. Chock valves are mainly use in oil and gas production, chemical processing plants and power generating units for specific control on flow of fluids and gases.
